(Did we have a BEARY good time?)
Last week was our silly exciting trip to Idaho!! Alturas never quite is the same when the family leaves! Aunt L. and her family, did such a great job of decorating, planning games and not to mention all the YUMMY food that we had!
This year was "Alturas Land, The Happiest Lake on Earth"! H. was so excited to get the invite letter! She ran around yelling "Mickey Mouse knows my address!" repeating it over and over again. (It was signed by the magical mouse himself!)
T. hasn't been able to come for over 8 years. So it was super exciting for us to have them there! Good thing because one morning we woke up to a BEAR in our campsite! Scary!! Oh, he was cute, but was not afraid of humans at all. T. had to chase him away with our truck on several occasions! We really had to supervise kids! It didn't stop our fun, we seem to always have fun together as a fam. no matter who or what decides to visit!!
The coolest event was the annual horseshoe tournament. We have it every year, but this year we knew Grandpa was pretty pleased as punch watching from up above! My cousin's two little kiddos, about 6 and 7 years old won the whole darn thing!! They beat out everyone who played against them. We do believe that little R.'s nightly prayers begging Heavenly Father to let them win, worked. Faith does conquer all!
It is always hard coming home, back to reality. We did get to enjoy a few days at my mom's and dad's afterwords with two of my three sisters. Oh, how I truly miss them. We always have a good laugh, eat lots and savour every moment together. Till next year!! It can't come soon enough!

SOunds like too much fun. Don't you just love being with family. I can hardly wait for my reunion next month.
